I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist with 20 years experience in helping couples rediscover their affection, strengthen their connection and return to their relationship center after periods of discord. I have particular expertise in working with couples where one or both partners have mental health and/or addiction problems, or have experienced trauma. I am also passionate and skilled in helping couples who are struggling with starting a family, infertility issues and the adjustment to parenthood. I approach therapy from a strengths perspective, drawing on my training in family systems and psychodynamic theory. I also have specialized training in Imago and Gottman techniques and I am committed to helping couples from all backgrounds, and gender/sexual orientations.
I have worked in inpatient, residential and outpatient settings at Sheppard Pratt and Johns Hopkins, most recently at the Retreat at Sheppard Pratt.
I have a BA in Psychology from Drew University and a Master of Clinical Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. I have been licensed in the State of Maryland as an LSCW-C since 2003.
